Had an amazing shoot with Katy today. I met her when she played with Jamie at a local venue. Her mother had stayed in touch with me and asked me to do some shooting for them. Turns out she is only 16 and already has a record deal with a CD coming out next week I believe. Really good singer, very easy to work with and very chill. Can't wait to shoot with her some more. Here are some from the set, see the rest on my Flickr! Make sure to comment and leave some CC.

she's a natural, great smile, great eyes
loving #7 with distant building bokeh, foot on guitar and her expression but they're all great natural light shots
btw, the monotone edits on your flickr really works too

really good work on these,
Your choice of locations and your compositions on these are spot on!

I like the first image with her leaning up against the wall. Good texture and contrast. The only problem with that one is that she doesn't come off as warm, which most girls with an acoustic guitar are. I'd have to know more about her style of music to give a further critique, because the photos should really fit the style of music.

Here is the one shot I took with the 135L yesterday, got it first try. Can't wait to shoot in a more open environment with her so I can use the 135L more.

Thanks! There are quite a few more posted on Flickr. I'm finding that every shoot I do I keep getting more and more keepers. I'm stoked about that right now

http://www.flickr.com/photos/34200150@N08/ more here people. The only reason none of these are cropped is because I wanted to give them the freedom to crop them how they wanted since they will be using these for promotional ads and covers
