War Memorial

One of the many war memorials at Kings Park, Perth. The flame is forever burning over the circle of water.

Interesting design for a memorial. Had'nt seen it before.
You'll have to return on a sunny day to do it justice, so this visit was good reconn/practice. I can see the railing is aligned neatly, and that dictates your angle on this trial, but I think a much lower angle with that 18mm would be more eye catching when you do the second visit. Also a few uniforms or a flag would give it a boost.

Thanks Carzee, I will definatley try that next time! It always makes more sense when someone else points out things like th angles etc. It was a very dull day up there.

Nice job. I love the reflection. Memorial picture are always great and emotional. Here is one that I took last May.

I think the overcast day adds a nice feel to the image and gives you a very nice reflection of the flame. IMO you got it right the first time. Nice capture of a solem memorial.
