Amazing shot! The composition is very good, colors and contrast is perfect. Quite minimalistic, but works for me.

Care to reveal some details about equipment, post-processing, etc? The sky looks a bit hazy too?

With or without the splash I think this would be an excellent shot!!

Thanks Roger! The waves were pretty small that morning. I need to wait for a big set to come. You can see the waves building up and then you just get your finger ready and snap at the right moment. I took about ten similar shots, but I liked the arc splash in this one. In some others, the splash was so big it overwhelmed the photo.

When I opened that shot, it truly took my breath away. A perfect example of the beauty of back lighting of translucent matter.
