I know - the bars ruin the photo - the photo was taken at the Melbourne Zoo... But it symbolised something to me..... One day, this may be the only way our kids will see an animal so magnificent - behind bars in a zoo! It is only a juvenile bird though :)

This is a whistling kite - Haliastur sphenurus. It is a beautiful bird of prey - generally found around marine areas, or permanent streams and wetlands. They have the most beautiful call - always sends a chill up my spine. I wasn't originally going to post this photo - but on second thoughts - here it is.

I knew that was the only way to start improving the image, but I never imagined someone would take the time to clone that much! Bravo, excellent work!
