quick google search shows only 10 ever produced. Nasa has a handful, Stanley Kubrick had 3 and Zeiss kept 1. dont know how true the lineage is, but dont think anyone here will be trying it out anytime soon.

I think you can picture the entire whole frame as a huge bokeh......:)

I believe a company called Joe Dunton used to own this lens, a guy I know used to work there a few years back - at the time I was unaware of this lens - shame.

I read about this lens a lot while I was writing a research paper about Stanley Kubrick. The first result in google mentions part of why it's never going on an SLR: "the rear element came within 4mm of the film plane." The mirror on any slr obviously comes way further out than that, so its use is limited to cinema camera applications.
