It's very good ... there were loads of user reviews on www.photographyreview.com and it showed that the Canon and Kenko pretty well tied on scores. I had one and would again no question about it. Very popular and more flexible than the SIgma or Canon.

I have heard that this compares favorably with the Canon one. According to fstopjojo, the 2X Kenko is exactly the same as the Tamron except for the obviously different name. I think the same may hold for the 1.4 version.

The general consensus is that the Canon EF II extenders are the best BUT only by a hair. The difference is in a slight edge advantage over the Tamron/Kenko Pros. Center sharpness they're equal and in contrast about the same. I'd recommend either the Kenko or Tamron Pro versions anyday (they are the same units). The 3rd party TCs also can be used on more lenses than the Canon TCs.

I have this Danny boy for the flat out reason is that the difference btw the canon and it are nill IMHO and from what I have researched. The kenko will also allow you to use it on lenses that the canon would not. Whoops, fstopjojo said that. oh well. well worth the $$$$
