Went to see the Cubs lose to the Marlins the other day. Fun day out despite the result. Anyway, took along my kit to try and get some shots while I was at it. See what you think.

Seems the bat isn't too strong!

I've heard of spectators catching a fly ball but a fly bat is a new one on me!

Too Slow!

Great catch on the broken bat!
Wrigley Field is a beautiful park with a great atmosphere. A great place to watch a game.
What lens were you using?

Nice shots, you must've had some good seats.

Thanks for all of the nice comments. I was using the 100-400 inj shutter priority at 750th early while the sun was good and then dropping to 500th when the cloud moved in. All were shot at ISO200. I was actually in a box with some guys from work which certainly makes for a better view of things. Not as much fun as being down near the bases but at least the beer and food are free (well for me - someone obviously paid a bit!)

That doesn't look like a broken bat to me - it looks completely whole; did it just slip out of the batter's hands or is there a break I'm not seeing?
Great shots by the way.
