Great shot freddy, you should do that blue hue/tone experiment thingy on this one, that would be cool.......Joe

Nice shot Freddy. The composition is strong here. The contrast in the clouds and ocean convey a strong mood to me. In the end I guess that is what Katrina was strong and definately moody... My heart goes out to the those who lost loved ones and property. Tony

Thanks for the comments. Luckily we caught only the tail or "skirt" of the hurricane. Even then, on the way back home I had to drive thru howling winds and rain, with fallen trees at both sides of the road.
And no, the blue monochrome doesn't work on this one. I tried it.

Nice, I love the boat in the frame. Makes me feel like I am going to see Captian Hook.

You took it out of a drawing, haven't you? :)
It really looks amazing...
The clouds... the foam on the water... the rocks... the ship on the background.
It all seems like it's taken from a dream or a painting...

Where was this photo taken? Must be the Caribbean Sea. My wife and I were in Costa Rica this past April but only for a day. It rained hard all day and I took only a few photos. We are starting to plan a trip back for two weeks. Where is your favorite place to photograph?

This is a very cool shot. getting the clouds like this is amazing. And then you also have the ship, the beach, and the rocks. Great stuff.

Horrible picture!!! JK, This brings really deep feelings, having seen what this storm did first hand and seeing the Beauty in this picture is almost too much.
