amen.

before i get flamed...i know some 10d's are less than perfect...but i'm really feeling like it's more operator error (or ignorance) that causes problems...combined with a handful of newbies wondering why it doesn't look oversharpened to death from their p&s cams...

at the end of the article...the race driver analogy is perfect. it takes time to master a piece of equipment...no matter how much you pay for it...the better the equipment...the more the technique and results are in the hands of the operator...

Thanks for that review and the accompanying images... I have been a bit concerned with the softness of the Images from my 10D. I think I'll set up a test simmilar to yours just to make sure the camera is not at fault. This is my first digital camera of any kind so I really wasn't sure what to expect. It has been like learning my craft all over again. I've noticed the dynamic range is somewhere right between E6 and C-41 but the sharpness right out of the camera is lacking compared to film. I did notice that my images reacted well to a healthy dose of unsharp mask. Thanks again.
