Hi. . .
I'm getting acquainted with my new Canon S400 so many of my questions may seem basic.
What is the difference between compression and resolution in terms of picture quality?
When do you set compression at superfine, fine OR normal.
I understand the number of pixels. Why wouldn't I always want to set the largest number of pixels when I shoot? I don't always know whether I want to blow up a pix until I shoot it?
If I take a pix with the L(Large) 2272x1704 pixel size but only print a 5 X 7 or 3 X 5 print, will the quality of the print be better than if I shoot the picture M(Medium 1) 1600 x 1200 making the same size prints.
How does the compression address the quality/sharpness of the print?
Thanks.
Count on more exciting and stimulating questions later.
