or something.. it was my dads camera, $11,000 (AU) worth!
i went out to dinner for a suprise party for my fathers father ('Popsie')
and when i saw dad come in with that camera, i was entertained for the whole night :D
was my VERY first time using an SLR camera, and this thing was amazing
it had some half a foot lens on it, and a 1 gig CF card, with a sun hood incase i dropped it i'm guessing :P
i took over 200 pics in the 2 hours i was there.
the focus and zoom ring were great fun! and dad was teaching me all about the settings with P M AV and TV modes.
playing with shutter speeds and apeture, taking photos of my toddle cousins and uncles and the cake, etc etc. was great :D:D
i'm SO wanting a DSLR now haha.
i'll be sure to post up some photos once dad emails them to me.
mind you, i'm sure most of them are crap - it was too dark for the autofocus so i was using manual most of the night, and with the huge flash ontop and shooting in JPEG not RAW, they were more a 'snap shot' rather than anything special - none the less, with over 200 shots, i'm sure i can find 1 or 2 to brag about :P
pointless thread - just thought i'd share my first DSLR experience. and with such a camera too!
