View Full Version : Help with 1Ds camera profile?

After much looking and reading about different camera profiling software, I bought "InCamera" by Pictographics. I followed their user guide exactly step by step. The image area was evenly iluminated and verified with a hand held light meter. A custom white balance was set up by capturing a white piece of paper in AE mode, as descibed in the canon 1Ds manual. Using the custom white balance a Macbeth chart was captured to be used for the camera profile.
The camera, a Canon 1Ds, was set up per "InCamera's" user guide to photograph in raw mode. However, according to Canon, the color Matrix cannot be turned off. The "InCamera" user guide states that no color control be used during the capture. I have contacted Pictographics about this. They replied by e-mail, their only source of communication with their paying customers, and contradicted themselves by stating that any of the color matrix settings can be used. After many attempts, trying all color matrix settings, all white balance and all camera settings , I have had nothing but unusable results using this software.
I'm sure I have missed something, so any help or suggestions about where to look for an answer would be very much appreciated.
Thank you,
Greg
