I have bought a couple of lenses recently and while looking through the images and reviews up on these threads I noticed there is some really great photography in there.

Now I have only looked on a few lens threads and there are loads of lenses, I was just wondering what is the best image you have seen whilst looking through a review, an image that says I need to buy this lens

I'll get things started - my nomination is on page 60 in the 50mm f1.2 thread, the little girl with the butterfly, what a moment to capture!

Respect goes out to k_strecker bw!

cool picture but it looks a little photoshopped to me. I might be wrong, but maybe the original photog could confirm or deny.

Page 1, Post #2 by Ed Rader on the 70-200mm f4L IS thread - those are just some amazing shots taken with this lens. I used to have the non-IS, sold it a couple of years ago, but just bought the IS version and it just shipped today and can't wait to get it. These shots as well as many, many others posted on that thread taken with this lens sold me. I'm so stoked I already added it to my signature. Great job Ed.

You will love it, I have one and it is so sharp.
I'm thinking about selling it though (and a couple more lenses) and getting the 70-200 f2.8 Is MKII, still not 100% sure but its looking that way.

I almost broke the bank and went that way too but just couldn't see the extra $1000 at this stage of the game for me...maybe someday.
