I bought these 3 lenses:
EF 28-135mm f-3.5-5.6 IS USM
Telephoto EF 100mm f/2.8 USM Macro
Super Wide Angle EF 20mm f/2.8 USM
I bought 2 circular polarizing filters to fit both sizes. My question is, I understand a filter should be left on the lenses at all times for protection. Does this need to be another filter in addition to the polarizing filter? If so, what filter, and would it go on last, on top of the polarizing filter?
Thanks again for helping with my questions.

UV or Skylight filters make good protectors and they would stay on the lens all the time.
The polariser would be used only when needed so they would go on after the "protector" filter.

I think the secret to this newsgroup is that if you have some kind of Canon digital camera problem, then try to explain as much as you can up front. For example, mention the type of camera, which lens, etc.
Try to explain the problem symptoms, or what you were doing when it broke. Be as detailed as you can. Some users have their own web page, so sometimes they post example images there with a link in their message.
In other words, the more detailed of a question you can give, the more likely you will get good advice.
