Taste of Colorado

Some shots of The Taste of Colorado.
It’s a local event where local restaurant open little booths and sell there food. There is also live bands, nick knack shops and of course beer. When you get there you have to buy tickets, it’s the only way you can buy your food. I think it’s like six dollars for ten tickets.

These images are all straight out of the camera. I shoot in RAW+JPEG, I put the jpeg settings as small as I can since I usually only have them there for a reference. I have been noticing though, for quick and easy images there not that bad :-)

I thought this was funny; the local newspaper uses the same stuff I use at work….I have been looking to “settle down” somewhere nice ;)

There also was a grilled cheese eating contest, hosted by an online casino...Guess the older guy is the world famous cake eating champion? :confused:
He was dipping his grilled cheese in water or something, looks like he puked in the shots; I wanted to get a good puke shot….no luck though :cry:

Hey Dan. Is it Dan? I almost went down there today just to shot pics of Craig Chaquico but ended up hiking some local trails. I just hate the throngs of people. Nice butt shot though :) You should send it in to the Post and see if they'll print it. :) Love the "winner" what about the guy that collapsed there in his plate. Was he okay?

Nice shots, looks about like last year. I'll be posting a few of my shots from the hike today in the Nature or Travel/Landscapes section shortly.

Yeh I actually debated whether or not to get out of the city this weekend. A friend of mine is out of the country and offered us his cabin, but its just not yet the “Aspen Leaf” season….maybe in a week or two?:D

I was thinking about what to do with the "butt" shot...lol

Hey Dane, glad to meet you here. I've planned on a couple of days off work to shoot the aspens. Debating whether to pick up the 10-22 EFS lens before then.

There's always the photography mags for that shot.

I have yet to shoot with that lens...I like my 16-35 too much (probably need to branch out) I usually shoot up in the Faiplay / Bailey area...between Breckenridge and South Park is also good. If you get to close to Breck all the aspens disappear and all you are left with are the pine trees.
I was there last weekend and was surprised to see some of the aspens already turning colors...very few but it got me excited for the fall shoot...

Yep, they are just starting, you can see the change up there already a few yellow, but the green in the aspens is fading... It may be early this year.
