Primes

Other than my 50 1.4 I have always 'managed' with zooms and, additionally, the 50 really has only been used in dark, no flash churches.

Birthday comes and for being so good I have bought myself a 135 f2 - yippee! Arrives next week.

Going to force myself to use only primes on holiday in a couple of weeks - not taking any other lens. Regrets I have a few...

im a prime fan i have one zoom the 17 to 40 L simple because that range is one i would often change focal lenth's with .
i just hope you dont need 136mm ;)

I'm a prime fan too. Two primes, two zooms, but I'm itching to sell the zooms for primes. Sigh, next year I guess. Have fun with that 135 f/2L! :-) That baby's on my to die for list.

congratulations Sam! I also picked up one a few days ago ! its a splendid lens.
im also goin in the prime direction. speed and quality are a nice combination.

great lenses but you wont have any wideangle on holiday - is that wise?

I love the primes. :D :D I do use a 24-70 for a walkaround lens though. In the studio or on a paid shoot, it's the 24, 50 or 85 that get the nod. :)
