I just shot a wedding today and am trying to get the pics off the camera onto my computer.
I have a 512mb Sandisk CF card thast I used and had the camera set at the highest quality. 3/4 of the way through the day the camera started acting strange and the auto focus wouldn't work. That passed and it started working fine again so I didn't think more of it. When I went to preview the pics on the back of the camera, when I got to #135 or so (of 201) an error message came up and said "corrupted data" and says that for 3 or so images but if I preview from #201 backwards it shows me the rest of the images until I get to that #135 and then the camera shows 'Error02' and shuts off on me.

Can someone please help me? I'm about to cry here as some of the best shots I got on this camera (I also shot 35mm but ran out of film for the last part of the day and was using the digital for key shots such as the cutting of the cake).
Is there anyway to recover the rest of the images? So far I have about 134 out of 201 on my computer but need to get the rest of them (minus the 3 that come up as corrupted).

Also is this a camera problem? Or the CF card problem?

Thanks so much!!

It's hard to say what the root cause of the problem is.

First of all, I suggest that you use some CF card file recovery software to see what else you can get off the CF card. That may or may not work, but it is worth a try. Once everything is recovered that is possible, then do a complete format on that card in the computer, and that might find bad addresses or something.

If that works and the CF card is fine, then that suggests maybe there is a problem on the camera side. If the camera were writing files in some failing way, then that explains a few things. That condition may be permanent, or it may have been temporary. Once in a while, temporary symptoms like that happen if the battery got marginal.

Thanks for the info!

I finally got the rest of the images off the CF card. I did lose 3 of them but compared to possible losing 75 of them, 3 is alright.
I put the CF card back into my card reader in my computer and instead of selecting to copy the images to a folder, I selected to view the images and transferred the ones I could get from there. Thank the Lord that worked!! I was starting to panic.
