WOW! I've never seen such a good photo of it before. I've also never seen in person, this is marvellous.

Nice shots, any chance of you posting your settings.

First one, 30mm, 15s at f/10, ISO400, exp -1
second one, 15mm, 2s at f/7.1, ISO400, exp -2

I took multiple shots at different settings, these were 2 of the best.
Ah... the beauty of digital.

Great captures John.
The first one has the most impact for me.

these are a lot better lots more color if you look at no1 there is a little more light in the sky be it from the street lights but it helps no2 a different angle and zoomed back does not have as much impact very good effort to be going out with a tripod on the banks of the thames

I knew the London eye just had to appear sometime, after seeing your other shots. Like the the impact of the first, just to much light coming from the city for me, so I am going for number 2.

What landmark at night is next on the list - keep watching viewers.

John,
I used the Sigma 15-30mm EX DG.
This lens is growing on me more and more, recommended to anyone.

Absolutely fantastic shots. I actually like the orange glow coming from the city as it helps to define the skyline and show the structure of the eye which otherwise might be lost with a totally black background.

Both shots are great!! and I like the way the city lights up the sky in #1. Gives the picture a nice touch that you don't see often.
