I just got back from the BMX track, and am pretty satisfied with some of my photos. It was my first attempt at a sports shoot ever, so I shot about 230 pics and these were the best of the "keepers"
Let me know what you guys think, Thanks :D

You need to do a bit of shadow lightening - many of them have dark areas on your subjects.

A flash would help that out right?

If you will forgive me I thought the 3rd image needed a bit of post Photo shop work done on it to tune it up. I removed the background and replaced it with a blue gradiant. Then created two motion blured copies of the biker to give a snazzy version of movement. Placed the biker to the right to show that he has just jumped to that location from the left.
Hope you dont mind my medeling.

In my opinion, you've made a common beginner's mistake by posting too many pictures in one thread. Had you narrowed your own choice down to two and posted them, maybe you'd have received a lot more helpful advice. As it is, you're overwhelming the casual viewer.

Ah, I see...
I was kinda wondering about that I'll take out some of the bad ones.

try second curtain sync if you have that in camera try to blurr the background if you can change apature arround try a polorising filter shoot only in raw
i do like thses shots but trhey are all caught by harsh lighting flash will only work with high speed fill in and i am not to sure you would be close enough backgrounds are a pain but you can eliminate with carefull angles and positioning sometimes but often photoshop needs to be used
reminder to try to compose in the view finder not in the computer view finder only dhoes 90%? of the scene hope this helps
wish we coud get this in the uk keep photographing
