I have just started to look at the portable dye sublimation printers. Does anyone have any experience with them? Are they reliable? Are you pleased with the quality? How portable are they really? What do you use them for (events, locations, vacation, etc.)?

I see Canon has released two more.

I'm highly impressed with my HiTi 640PS. Fits perfectly in an old camcorder bag but requires AC. HiTi makes an AC/DC version with outdoor filters that not only makes it 100% portable but is safe for outdoor use.

Trunkmonkey,

Thanks! I will check that out. I noticed that Canon has released two new models of portable printers (Selphy Cp510 and CP710). I am seriously considering purchasing one of these, but would like some feedback from those who have these class of printers. I am particularly interested in quality reviews, performance/reliability, and utility comments.
