Thanks. This post saved me lots of money and JUST IN TIME! I ordered a Sigma 105 macro, but changed to order to Canon 100 USM macro. Hope I like it (was a total Nikon shooter, but just bought a 10D).

Sigma Uk will re-chip a lens. Unfortunately, mine was too old. However, they did offer to PX at a fair discount. I'm still waiting/wondering to take up their offer.

I'll tell you, this lens business is harder than buying the camera and I agonised for months over that! If there was a god, all lenses would be L! and I suppose there'd be no such thing as under/overexposure, white balance, front/rear focus....

Contact Sigma Canada. My lens was not on the list.
70-210 APO 2.8, but they were nice enough to send it to Japan to have it fixed - They said it would take about 6 weeks. But I rather have a lens that works, than one that did not.

To me that is customer service
