Sternwheel Regatta Fireworks 2005

I hope this is the right category for this, it was an event sort of.
I shot these at the Charleston (WV) Sternwheel Regatta's last night, the fireworks is always the last thing they do at the regatta and I managed to snap a few. I had to remove a few street lights and bring out the colors a bit but I'm pleased with how they turned out.

Just does not seem to have enough contrast, the fireworks seem a little dull (in comparison to some I have seen) Maybe the EXIF info could be handy for ppl to offer some advice. Never tried this type of shot myself, so dunno if longer exposure could have helped.

If you thought those were dull you should have seen the original...I still need to figure out how to "drag the shutter". I liked them for being a first try. What I got there was brought out with PSE.
