Hi.

Having 'de-lurked' in another forum, I though it was time I posted some pictures. Living in Cornwall, we have many photogenic old tin mine engine houses. Here's a pic I have been playing about with - hope you like it. C&C welcome.

Thank you very much.

Hmm. That sort of goes with the ageing effect I was trying to achieve. I've had a look at your website and I have a long way to go to reach your level :o , but here's the b&w before applying the 'old photo' effect. C&C welcome again, as are post processing examples.

Thanks for looking,
Mark Harvey

The first one really does look like an old photograph. Really nice effect.

both 'shades' are very nice

I like the first best but the piece of white sky showing on the right is a little more obvious in it
it's like an old castle . nice angle you got

I actually like the first one better b/c of the old picture effect. But I agree that it looks a bit flat. I've grown to love b/w's recently so they are both nice looking.

Hi, Mark. I loved the sepia tone on it!!!!

And in my opinion composition was great, you've zoomed in on the castle to fill the picture......

Liked it a lot.

Congrats.

Thank you vey much. I just used the auto settings for the conversion - maybe I'll have a look at tweaking it a bit.

I love both images, the first one certainly has an authentic old photograph feel to it, and I like the border too.

Had a quick look and they his work is indeed very impressive. I'll have a look through the whole thread when I have a bit of time to take it in - then probably re-read it more times to get bits I've missed.
