I was waiting for the train downtown today and in a walkway by the station Ford has a display set up with a pair of new Mustangs. So since I had some time to kill I tried taking some shots. Unfortunately I was coming from school so I only had the kit lens and no tripod so light was a bit of an issue.

C/C Welcome

the first picture really bugs me for the simple fact that it looks incomplete...

I know the artistic style you're trying for, but it doesn't seem to flow in the first shot... Why?

First, because the Ford logo is cut off. It leaves the viewer hanging, wanting to see the whole logo. In other instances, if this wasn't a logo, the mysteriousness of the shot would work, but it's hard to pull that off with such a recognizable icon in the industry...

Second, there's just way too much empty unused space at the bottom of the frame... Where the reflection in the glossy serves no purpose for the photo, it leaves a strange longing to want to recrop the photo...

Other than that, the other photos were decent, just maybe a tad extra lighting would have helped in the shadowy areas, but I totally understand that the lighting was far beyond your control. In your other shots, again, watch out for cutting off logos.

I REALLY enjoyed your fifth shot. I just wish the logo was intact.

Nice shots! The last one almost looks like a 3D rendering!

Thanks very much for the indepth critique, it's really nice to have something you can use in the future. I have a tendancy to want to rush and I'm realizing I need to slow down and consider the composition more carefully. Perhaps I'll pay them another visit some time soon and do some practice :)
