I am somewhat of a amateur user of photoshop and have been using it (earlier versions) for many years, however CS2 has me stumped. Seems that every time i download my raw files to my computers harddrive and use adobe bridge toview them, it auto adjusts them even in the preview window.

I have to constantly open them up in CS2 raw converter, select them all and then untick auto adjust and then perform a "save new raw defaults" action.

This fixes it, but is there anyway of stopping this for all viewed images in adobe bridge so that they are not auto adjusted at any time unless i open them in raw converter and then tick auto adjust???

Yes. Immediately above the "Set new Camera Raw Defaults" selector is one that says "Use Auto Adjustments." You want to deselect that, and then set new camera raw defaults.

You can also toggle it on and off on an image by image basis with the keyboard shortcut: Command(Mac) or Control(Windows) + U.

Yes what i mean is that when i open a folder with raw images that have not been viewed in adobe bridge previously, the images are automatically processed for auto adjustment. ITs not until i open them in the CS2 raw converter window that i can untick the auto adjust and save them as new raw defaults.

Is there a way to stop them from being autoadjusted in the browse window of adobe bridge to start with?

I only want to apply auto adjust to images when i want to, not have photoshop apply it to all images automatically, so that i have to untick and resave new defaults all the time..... ARRGGHH
