This is the Costa Mediterranaa heading up the Giudecca in Venice from the balcony of the cruise ship I was on.

great , the perspective is cool too:cool:
I get a lot of the crise liners down here and that one bears a resemblance to "the world" the ship rich people live on and cruise te world.

Nice photo. I love cruising. It is probably more cost effective, not to mention fun, than an assisted living retirement home. :lol: :lol: :lol:

263 metres of pure luxury ship. Simply beautiful. Might have to buy one as a fishing sloop :-) !

Wow what a great angle. I wish I could get out into the Halifax Harbour and take some shots like these.

85,000 tons.
The one I was on - The Grand Princess - was a bit bigger, 109,000 tons and something like 390m long
erm, daft.

According to Martime Data shipping register the Length of Costa Mediterannea is 263.6 metres and Grand Princess 289.51metres. Still big ships. For reference the aircraft carrier USS John C Stennis is 333 metres long.
