I just bought a Canon s45. My first camera. It's an awesome camera. Unfortunately, I accidently sat on it and messed up the LCD. It doesn't seem to be physically damaged on the outside, but the LCD is cracked internally. I don't think it's covered under warranty , is it? And if it's not how much would it be to fix it?

It's probably covered on your house Insurance.
I dropped my previous camera (kodak 210+) and this was coverd via the house Insurance.

How do I go about doing that? Should I just call Canon?

No do not contact canon, phone up your house insurance
explain to them that the camera was accidently damaged.
they will then contact the people who sort out their assesments. (or they may ask you to supply a couple of quotes)
those people will then contact you, and get the camera picked up.
if they can fix it they will...if not (like in my case) they will
replace the item like for like.
my Kodak was not a current model so i paid them an extra few ££ and received a S45.
all in all it took 3 weeks.
Most house insurance policies cover for accidental damage.
warrenty (from canon) is for a fault in the camera.
You should have no problems at all.
