Electrical storm

Tonight in Melbourne town there was a big electrical storm. I haven't had much practise in long exposure lightning shots before in the week or so i've had my SLR so I thought I would sit outside at about 12am and and see what I could get. I bumped up some punchy white balance to highlight the lightning and purple up the clouds a little more but thats about all I did from the RAW pics. I pressed out about 50 or so long exposure shots on my tripod and here's the best of them. Enjoy.

Some nice lightning catches, I like the first one best.

Thanks. yeah it was pretty random lighning so it was hard to pick a spot to look at so i kind of just aimed up and hoped for the best. That one was my favourite too and was probably the biggest fork.

I didn't have my tripod with me so some are shakey and the frist couple are out of focus. I had my monopod and wedged the camera up against a window frame.
