Was out for a short while yesterday and found this Bearded dragon, he didn't mind me getting glose to him at all but he sure didn't like the camera close to him for some reason. This guy sure could run fast, anyways lol it's a break from the birds for you all.

Excellent!! Was trying to think of where you were located... then read Australia. A friend of mine is moving there.. and she invited me for a visit.. so maybe I can see some of these wild fable creatures too!!
it always pays to take your camera with you on these short walks... ;)

Thanks for the kind comments everyone, these are a fairly small lizard compared to some we have over here. We get some very large monitors also, though sadly I've not had a camera about when I've seen then, maybe one day though. We even have a real big one thats a relative to the Komodo in the outback, would love to get to see one of those one day.

Peter, the South Australian desert is dragon heaven - they're probably a bit elusive though :-) !

Thanks for the remarks everyone. Your lucky to find some tracks Peter, did you try to find if they were fresh and if you would find the goanna ? I've heard others say what Steve said also. I don't know alot about lizards but I have heard that the S.A. outback and southern parts of the Northern territory are fantastic spots. You might even get lucky and see a Thorny devil, that would be sweet.

I have seen fresh tracks that were that fresh they were over my tyres marks in the sand. I mean like minutes :)
A Thorny Devil would be a huge thing to capture. Lots of dragons around when it gets warmer. I'd love a lizard friendly backyard.

I've never seen a Bearded Dragon around Adelaide mostly little skinks, geckos and te Sleepies etc so you were lucky to get such great photos. Lucky & skillful!
