On the amazon.com website it says that the ixus v3/s230 can store images as RAW but i can't verify this anywhere else. Can someone with this camera actually tell me if it does support RAW? I want to know this cause i'm thinking about buying one. Thx

No, it does not support RAW. Consider the s400 unless you want the VGA video clip.

Hmm okay thx alot. I don't really care for the movie function, so i will look into the s400 a bit more, Thanks again!

I have the S400 and I don't think it can do raw either. Just JPG.

The s400 CANNOT do RAW. Only the s30, s45, s50 range.
Shouldn't matter to much unless you will be doing advanced post processing or something.
I'm getting an s400 but am gutted about the reduced movie res - you use more than you would think (if you're new to it) - movies are hilarious!
