Anybody have experience with non-OEM batteries? I saw some on eBay and they certainly are attractive price-wise. I'm just wondering if there are any problems to worry about if I use one rather than the expensive Canon batteries., or anything in particular to look for (or avoid) in a non-OEM battery.

Thanks!

Just looked on eBay again and there are also listings for a Canon BP-2L12 which is supposedly twice the capacity of the NB-2L. But it's unclear whether it's intended for the S45 or not. Anybody know?

Thanks,

Nancy

Thanks for that, I have two Canon originals, but was thinking of getting another.

Try here - http://www.batterybarn.com/nb2l.htm ro http://www.sterlingtek.com/digital-camera-batteries-canon-digital-camera-batteries.html - a lot of previous posts recommended the batterybarn site. (I am assuming you are 'East coast'-ish from your time zone)

The BP-2L12 looks like it is for a camcorder, aand too big for our little cameras

Thanks

Thanks for the info. Any idea if this might be any good? There are a lot of non-OEMs on eBay for very nice prices.
