I think there is too much green... but I wanted to focus on the eyes.

Very nice shot, compostion is good , like the colors as well. It goes back to the question of f stop and aperture. Let me show you my result at 1/250 using an f11 stop, let me know what you think. this was taken also with a tripod and remote cable shutter release.

Ahh... I went back to the specs of my dragon fly shot and it was 1/30 second F/9.0. But it was also iso 800 and I was still fighting for light...
That, by the way, is a seriously amazing shot. :)

So, the reason pretty much was the settings you were actually working with. good, Thanks for the kind words on the shot comparison. You have a seriously great lens by the way. :D :D

Thanks, I was about 1 inch away with 98mm of Extension tubes, using a 50mm.:D
