Error MSG - Bug report?

I have been getting this error msg.

:You need at least MySQL version 3.23.20 to use this software. You are currently using version 4.0.12.:

Any suggestions? The program won't allow me into this section of the routines and I am having a world of problems. I am just about ready to reset my entire website and starting over.

You're talking about EE Backup right? I had one report about this yesterday by email and it was because server admin upgraded to MySQL 4 and EE Backup's check for minimum version requirement seemed to fail in MySQL 4.

So to fix this you need to download a new version of EE Backup which omits this version check alltogether.

Download it from http://photography-on-the.net/ee/backup/EE_Backup_1_02.zip

Remember to back up your preferences.php to be safe (no need to overwrite that file anyway).

This version also fixes an odd bug in filewrite syncronization in PHP, adds some more keep alive commands, has verbose debug mode if needed and has a new utility delete.php which lets you delete EE Backup's database backup sets from any database you have set up for EE Backup - this in case you need to do quick erase to recover disk space or erase EE Backup tables for some other reason like version incompatibility.

Pekka, the link you provide to fix the problem created by MySql 4 is broken...

I'd like to install it cause I also get this message when i run the backup :

"You need at least MySQL version 3.23.20 to use this software. You are currently using version 4.0.13-nt."
