Thought I would share these two shots I shot yesterday. I used my new 200 f/2.8L II Lens that I got last month on my NEW 20D. I also had on a Tamron 1.4x TC, plus my 550EX Flash.:D :D

I sure love the way this 20D can nail focus on such a small target.:D

How small are these hummers? I know they vary in size but by how much

Great captures.. Especially the second one. looks like the ants are invading the hummingbird feeder.

Excellent focusing! What shutter speed did you use? I'm curious in order to estimate the wing flap/second number. :D

I was using my 550EX Flash, so the shutter speed was 1/250s. Glad you liked them.:D

Three to five inches long. A lot of them are about four inches long.

No 2 is best.
I believe you are happy with the 200,the only thing i find is that some times you are too close or too far, thats the reason i bought the sigma 100-300 f4 as well.

I like the second shot the best. I like the first also. I have a question about the first. Was the bird sitting ther with his wings down when you took the picture? I just can't seem to get one of these guys with my flash. They seem to always jump the flash and end up blurred. Yours looks good.
