Where can I post service announcements?

Just read the forum rules (the anti-spam rule in particular) and have a question:

Where can someone post a service announcement? It's suggested that the "Marketplace forum" is the place for such things, but where is it? Is general photography news simply not a popular topic here? I'm used to computer graphics forums (like cgtalk.com) where news is one of the more visited forums.

If you sell something, post it to marketplace. Mods will move posts to correct area if needed.
