At MetroZoo in Miami - Please CC
One of many with my new 85 f/1.8 - What a great lens!! (Now I can't blame the lens for a bad shoot :o )
Some PS - Curves/Contrast

nice shot indeed....the colours are very striking, great contrast,
not too sure about the frame tho (it is nice don't get me wrong) but i'd have preffered to see the actual photo bigger

Just a thought, Alan, but big frames, strangely proportioned crops, small pics, & low compression make it harder for people to print your work. ;)

I agree!
Great shot of the cat, but (IMHO) the frame needs a body swerve. :)

I'm a bit confused, so help me out. Is this a picture of a picture? or have you created a frame around a beautiful shot? With so many digital tools it becomes hard to appreciate the good work that is often shared. I see a little reflection or ghost image in the middle which is partially distracting and hence the question.
Best,
Chenu

Beautiful cat. How did you get the grass that color?

its an interesting thought and i get where you're coming from
but i think that 800x600 is still too small for printing..... it will print yeah but will look like c**p

Frank, I knew that we can always count on you for the correct answer :D. And thank you for your comment on my picture. It validates that there is hope for improvement in the road to better photography:p

Thank you for the complement Chenu. You are right, in this day and age of the digital world, it is hard sometimes to see the line between reality and fiction. Yes, I framed the shoot with a action in PS. That "ghost image" is just discoloration of the wall; I think the bokeh gives it that ghosty look. I didn't see that way till you brought it up

Since I don't want to admit "PS ignorance", lets just call it "PS creativity";) . I know I played with curves/selective colors/saturation and contrast, but I wouldn't be able to give the details of the workflow in a million years. Thank you Ginni77 for your comments.
