My Canon Digital Ixus 40 dropped into a bucket of clean drinking water. Power was on and the lens was out. It took maybe 10 seconds to get it out. I turned it off, removed battery, opened the casing and put it in front of a fan.
Now it seems to work... but pictures are kind of over-exposed and sort of out of focus. It kind of looks as if taking pictures through a dirty window.
I wonder if anything can be done like replacing CCD or optics? Repair shop charges 40€ just to take a look at it.
