Took this during a reenactment at the Castillo de San Marcos in St Augustine, FL.

I disagree. I've posted plenty of BW landscapes, and gotten a good many replies.

Nice shot. I love the old fort at St Augustine.

Yeah it's pretty awesome. You can actually see the bullet holes in the outside walls of the fort. I think I've got a 35mm of me somewhere standing in front of a wall tainted by bullets posing like I was getting shot up by a firing squad. :lol:

No battle in particular, they are just reenacting what it looked like when the Spanish soldiers fired their cannon at attacking ships.

Judgeing by uniforms it must be one of the earliest forts in AMerica?

It's THE earliest continually-occupied settlement in America. The only earlier settlement is Ft Caroline in Jacksonville, but it was abandoned back in the day.

Thanks for the info :)

I enjoy walking around the Napoleonic forts on the english coast, but much prefer the older castles.
Dont know why, but the older it is the more interest i have.
