Hi I'm new here and I'd thought I'd start off by sharing a few shots from Thruxton on Saturday taken with my Canon EOS 20D and Sigma APO 100-300mm. I was hanging with a crowd of POTN regulars so I was in good company.
Comments and Critiques are welcomed.
Cheers,
Steve

Nice shots Steve. The two Cortinas is a great pic.
Glad you enjoyed the day at Thruxton - despite your own transportation problems.

Thanks Andy. I appreciate the comment. I was very impressed with the 20D and the Sigma combination and I'm looking forward to Sunday when I will be at Goodwood for the Revival. (Hopfully my car will be sorted by then!)

Steve

Nice work, Steve. The Cortina Consul GT locking up in front the Lotus Cortina is the best shot here for me. Good job on getting the Turner Mark I that car always looks "soft" on the front in pictures, even when it's not and it often confuses the camera's autofocus. It think it's probably the grill.
A fine start to your motorsport career here on POTN ;) Now do your neck a favour get your POTN OP/TECH strap ordered!

Hi Steve
welcome to the forum.
You have some good shots there keep it up.
I am biased of course ( I own a 1966 Mk 1 Lotus Cortina) but the best picture is the 2 cortina's.
that lock up just adds to the impact well done .
For more Lotus Cortina's check out my Gallery.

Thanks for the replies. Seems the Cortina is the outright winner from this selection. I was pleased to be able to catch that happening.
Cheers,
Steve

Can I just say I like the way you've taken the trouble to title the images with the drivers name.

Thanks! How accurate the information is I can't say I used the programme to look up each car and driver. The odd few were missing from the programme and on the day it's possible another driver was in the car but I hope it's of some interest and help. I'm relatively new to following these types of race meetings so my knowledge of drivers and cars is still being built up, titling then like this helps me a little to learn the makes and names etc.

Steve

Thanks Peacock. That's a very handy site when coupled with the programme. Perhaps I can go back and re-title some of the pics that I couldn't identify.
Cheers,
Steve
