I want a wider lens for wedding shots. I am looking at the tamron 17-35mm f/2.8 or the Sigma 17-35mm f/2.8. they are both the same price of $499.thru B&H. Does anyone own them or can you direct me to a web site where I can get some feedback on.

The Tamron is very well-liked and many consider it to be a viable option to the 17-40L optically. The Sigma 17-35 is generally disliked but I think many are referring to the previous non-DG model. The new unit is their DG HSM and from what I've seen it's quite good. You might want to try them out if possible. The Sigma 18-50 f2.8 is very good if you can go "DC".
