Need Help fast!

I am trying to do a project for school w/ creating a picture. Ok, I erased part of this one picture so that when I combine it with this other picture, it appears to be one w/ the other. But when I go about doing it, it's not working at all. Can anyone help me please! this thing is due tomorrow.

are you using PS or some other software? If you are, you can use layers and a layer mask. A little more info will help us give you a better answer.
