Hello there! I want to get some material I can stick on solid walls outside and use it as a backdrop to photograph models. At first, I was thinking I should just spray paint a white board and tape it onto walls, but now that I know I will be going to Walmart tomorrow, I am wondering if you have any better (and still cheap) ideas. :3

I guess it also doesn't have to be black. I was just thinking that'd be a nice backdrop color.

Thank you so much for your help. Best wishes!

Check out fabric stores. I know Joann Fabric has muslim fabric. Might find more selection there, plus they might have some cheap remnants.

I went to Walmart long ago and got some of their widest muslin and RIT dye and made my own. It's easy and can be messy.

Ok here is the budget secret for backdrops, Keep it under your hat. LOL Go to Lowes or Homw depot, get a painters drop cloth, it is a heavy weave so it has texture. Next use a gel on the back light and make it what ever color you want. If you want it black, use a fast shutter speed. If you are using available light and want a black background dye it black with Rit. Back Drop (painter's cloth tarp) is $2.00 rit black dye, $2.00 you do the math:p
