OK, I am in panic mode - I think I accidentally deleted 1. Index Group - now nothing is showing on the front end and all Groups are showing (ORPHAN) in the Admin.

If you have a recent database backup, it's now time to restore it.
If you don't have one, I really don't know what to do best :(
I do run automatic daily file based backups of my whole server plus an extra mysqldump.
It looks like you already fixed your site?
