I'm about to order a 10D. I usually like to shoot landscapes with a 24mm wideangle, but I see the 10D has a 1.6 multiplier. That would change the length of my 24mm lens to about 38mm. Could I use a 15mm fisheye and get similar image qualities of a 24mm WA? I'd love to hear if anyone has used this before I go out and plunk down several hundred more for a good 15mm. Thanks.

Consider the Sigma 15-30 zoom.
Lots of 10D owners use this lens and have gotten great results with it (myself included).

I have a Sigma 15mm fisheye (no error99). With the crop it is indeed a 24mm lens. The problem you might face is that fisheyes are by their nature not corrected for barrel distortion. If you are looking for a corrected wide angle and I assume you are, I'd check out the Sigma 15-35 or canon 16-35. Both are heavily corrected for barrel distortion. They aren't perfect, but they a night and day difference compared to a fisheye.
this thread covered a lot of info you might find helpful....

Does the 15-30 Sigma require modification for the 10D? I was about to buy a Sigma macro (105) and found out that it would have to be modified.

The Sigma 15-30 EX is a new lens and it works fine on the 10D.

Thanks for all the responses. I checked out the Sigma 15-30. Looks good, but I'm concerned about filters. I've always had lenses with filter mounting threads. I tend to spend most of my time in the windy, sandy southwest deserts or the windy, sandy and salty west coast beaches. I've always used a uv filter for lens protection. I also tend to use a polarizer or GND often. Excuse my limited knowledge, but are there polarizer and GND gel filter options? Do they work well? Seems to me that glass is better. And how do I protect the lens from sand and salt? Can I get an attachment to fit glass filters to the end of the lens? Thanks.

This lens comes with a removable cover (lens cap adapter) over the built-in shade. If you leave that on and take just the end lens cap off, there are threads to screw on a filter. With the D-10 you should get little or no vignetting at 15mm if you buy a thin filter.
I personally only use that for a CP as the fixed shade protects the outer glass fairly well. I have heard from others that the outer lens can be replaced by Sigma fairly inexpensively if it does get damaged.
Very nice lens for a digital at a great price!
