A80 lense removal for cleaning

Hi all.

My poor old A80 has some spots on the lens (caused by my attempt to clean the flash circuit board). I was wondering if anyone could give me some pointers on how to clean the lens? I assume I will need to remove it somehow. Are the commercial lense cleaning kits at the camera store any good once I can get at the lens?

When I get around to doing it, I will take photos of the full dismantle and repair.

How did you clean the flash circuit board ... and are the spots inside or outside the lens?

If I were you, I would maybe not try to dismantle the camera as a first step (unless the spots are on the inside, of course). But I'm not much of a tinkerer.

You might look at a 'lenspen' that has the correct cleaning fluid inside usable for lens cleaning. Using agressive cleaners might damage the lens coating.
