I took this picture of my son at home with my Canon Rebel Xs and a 50mm f1.8 lens set at
f8 ISO 100 1/100 sec with one shoot trough umbrella to left of camera and reflector to the right. I like the sharpness of the picture like they saywith the 50mm you can really get great pictures.

There is something not quite right with the lighting. The left side with your main light is bright then it moves into some shadow and into more light from the fill/reflected light. I think different placement of your main light would have accomplished a more smooth transition to the fill, without the resulting shadow in between. I would like to have seen a bit more light get into that right eye. Not sure if I'm expressing that clearly, but there 'tis.
Inconsistent light aside, I love the pose and you've nailed the focus on his gorgeous eyes very nicely! I"m assuming that the thing that is pinned on to his jacket has something to do with his first communion, and that you have that in the shot, conveys the message that it is a first communion shot. As opposed to just a shot of a cute kid all dressed up. Very nice!

Thanks so much for your comment and yes you`re right about the light. Is there a way I can fix this in PP

I like the shot; the light is good, but it could use some fill. Nice pose, expression, good catchlights, evrything looks good, just a bit of fill next time. The lighting ratio is too high...
