These are terrific. I'm surprised no-one's commented. I'm not familiar with this type of "concert photography", but these look good to me. They are all good except for the blown out drummers arm in the last shot. These would look great in the bands CD jacket!

Very nice series. I like the effect of dragging the shutter.

Wow, just came across these and they are excellent. Very different perspective from a lot of band shots I've seen on here. Look forward to more posts from you,
Roger.

There ar some cool shots there, three and eight stand out for me.
IMHO the rest are overkill unless you've got a fanbase.
My opinion. Nice shooting, though. I like pics of bands and musicians...

These are really excellent for what looks like a crap venue! I shoot Live Performance at a world class venue 90% of the time ... the advantage is incredible lighting ... the disadvantage is very restricted creativity: the performers are up on a stage, no flash, and no backstage or above angles allowed for the big talent ... so, no 'dragging' images, although sometimes I manage long exposures with a large tripod mounted lens. My most recent posted here is http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=100875.

Those are some pretty cool shots. What is it that causes the bluring effect shown in 1, 4, 5 & eight above? Is this something you did, or did it come out of the camera that way? I'd love to be able to reproduce simular shots with that effect.
Thanks!

I like # 1 and specially 5 &6. Like the combination of 'freeze-flash' and movement. Should use that again myself sometimes... The ones with shorter shuttertimes don't work for me.
Keep posting!

There TOO candid, and a little too much of the same trick. Do some funky stuff, Set the camera on B Take a picture of a band member then swirl it around with your hand, you'll see.

ACDC, thanks, it would never occur to me to try that! Some special way to determine aperature or simply experiment. Do you have some examples?
