Hello to all.
This is my first posting and it's about a problem . Leastways, I *think* it's a problem, but my A70 only arrived yesterday.
Anyway, the problem is that a lot of my pictures aren't very sharp and I think it might be the autofocussing at fault. In auto, macro mode, wide-angle, with the lens about 75 mm from the subject the camera won't focus properly and the pictures are blurry.
What's more, despite resetting the camera to factory defaults several times, the first item in the Rec. menu, AiAF (as shown on Page 98 of the manual) is missing.
Another thing, having reset to factory defaults and then using auto mode, when I hold down the shutter button half-way sometimes I get one focussing square on the LCD, sometimes two and sometimes three, never five.
Of course, the AiAF item is missing from my menu, so I can't try spot focussing.
Could I reasonably assume that this camera is defective? I would be very grateful for your opinions.
Regards,
Nick.
