This is Little Moreton Hall, a Tudor house over 500 years old. It’s about two miles from were I live. There’s not a square or plumb surface in the hole place so photography is a challenge as any shot looks like lens distortion.
I have dodged and burned this shot in a few places to give a featureless sky some interest.
Please tell me what you think.

a sunny sky would help...or make it BW to make it look spooky...or even sepia?? Just a thought!

A very dramatic sky and a grand old structure, good shooting.

That's a lovely old place. There's some real character in the shape of those walls.
Is that anywhere near Moreton-in-Marsh in the Costswolds - based on the name - not always a good guide! I was near there at college a few (*cough* many) years ago.
Thanks for sharing.

Thank you Stan
A compliment from a person who can produce the quality of work, as your watermill demonstrates, is a compliment indeed. Thank you.
And thank you Mark.
The house is in Cheshire about three miles from the town of Congleton.
It was my first attempt at dodging and burning, the sky was over exposed and the black and white building was also difficult to get right, a few people were cloned out and the shadows from the trees were enhanced.
I used to take photograph of this building when I was in my early teens using a Zenith E, (can anyone remember them), but could never get a good exposure.
The building is roofed in sandstone slabs about two inches thick with some of the slabs weighing 200lbs each!
You can understand why it sags.

Thanks everyone for you reply’s.
If anyone would like to have a go with this image, and show me some examples of what could be done with black and white , then please feel free.
I did try black and white, but could not make it dramatic enough.
