Hi,
I have just purchased Canon A70. I tried to snap some picures and here are my results:
http://arccos.addweb.cz/A70/photo-eng.html
I took the pictures without reading the manual, so they are not good. However pay attention to the last two pictures. Both were taken from the same spot, immediatelly in a row and in Auto mode. The second picture is much better. The only difference in EXIF are shutter times. What is the problem?

(sorry for my crude English :))

First off your photo's are much too big for the web. I have adsl and I gave up waiting after 10 minutes.
My guess about the difference in photos is that you didn't use a tripod. If you had of the spot metering would have been in the exact same spot with both photos. Seeing how it is not the camera processed the information each time as the information given to it was different both times.
I truly believe you should READ YOUR MANUAL!

Sorry for the picture size, I left the photos intentionally unprocessed by some resizing (etc.) to avoid quality losses.
And thanx fo reply. I also think, that tripod might be the problem.

I'm a new user also and tried to read the manual so I can adjust the resolution and compression to take more pictures... I have not been successful! Any suggestions? Do you know a nearby Canon store? Thanks.
